Teacher Appreciation Week 2012: 7th – 11th May
Teachers = the people who educate our children and give them the vital knowledge which we need to live our lives. They encourage, support, discipline and prepare our children for the road ahead and now it’s time for us to show them our appreciation.
Teacher Appreciation Week begins on the 7th until the 11th of May 2012, which will be the perfect opportunity for us to show teachers how thankful we are for their support. So let’s all say a big THANK YOU to the people who work really hard so that you can have a better future.
Look for notes from your room parents on how you can help celebrate our teachers.

Executive VP, Treasurer, VP of Volunteers, VP of Fundraising, Family Events Coordinator, Fall Festival Coordinator, Yearbook, Community Programs (box tops, campbells labels etc), Auditor, Hospitality, Birthday Book Club, Book Fair, and Room Parent Coordinator.
We would love to see some new parents joining us in making RSD PTA the best it can be!!!!

PTA provides so much support for RSD. Without our PTA our children would not have field trips, Science lab, art, music or drama. We would not have fun family dances or a yearbook. We need parent volunteers & parent support to make all this happen. Please sign up today!!!

| The time is now to
transform our public schools
Update on the PTA-supported Our Children, Our Future statewide education initiative |

The most urgent crisis facing California schools is that they simply don't have the resources to provide our children with the education they need.
That is why the California State PTA supports the Our Children, Our Future initiative, which will transform our public schools by generating a substantial amount of new revenues for K-12 schools and early childhood education. Other initiatives have also been proposed for the November 2012 statewide ballot, but we believe Our Children, Our Future is clearly the best for students and public education.
We are moving full-steam ahead and helping to qualify and pass this initiative in November 2012.
All PTA members and leaders are encouraged to join the effort to qualify and pass the Our Children, Our Future initiative. For a more complete update on the initiative, please click here.
