The 2010-2011 school year promises many exciting new things and the PTA wants you to be a part of it. If you would like to volunteer for a PTA position please contact our Nominating Committee Members Jen Grygiel at brant-jen@cox.net or Kay Dunn at tkdunn1997@aol.com RSD PTA Elected Officers: President Serves as chairman of the PTA Board Executive VP Assist & Aides President 1st VP – Membership Plans and executes annual PTA membership drive 2nd VP – Programs Plans and coordinates monthly assembly programs paid for by PTA 3rd VP – Ways and Means Fundraisers: Wrapping paper and/or cookie dough sale 4th VP – Volunteers/Historian Coordinates volunteers & keeps PTA hours, scrapbook & records Recording Secretary Takes minutes at monthly board meeting & Association meetings Treasurer Manages PTA finances and banking operations Financial Secretary Assists the Treasurer by preparing warrants Auditor Audit the books and financial records of the PTA semiannually RSD PTA Appointed Position Corresponding Secretary Conducts all PTA meeting & association correspondence Legislative Representative Serves as RSD’s Representative to superintendent’s meeting Parliamentarian Give advice in parliamentary procedure at all PTA meetings Traffic Safety Coordinates Traffic/Parking Volunteers Box Tops & Community Programs Collects box tops and promotes community reward programs Family Events Coordinator Plans and Executes Family Events Fall Festival Coordinates the Fall Festival Committee Reflections Coordinates the National PTA Reflections program Talent Show Coordinator Plans the annual student talent show Cut & Paste at School Assists with teacher support (cutting, stapling, etc.) Book Fair Coordinator Coordinates Fall and Spring Book Fairs Birthday Book Club Coordinates Birthday Book Club Donations Hospitality Coordinates refreshments for PTA events, Teacher Brunch, etc Newsletter Edits and produces RSD PTA Raven Newsletter Health & Welfare Coordinates Red Ribbon Week, Food Drive and other events Yearbook Collects pictures and puts together the RSD Yearbook Web Master Updates www.RSDPTA.com website 5th Grade Committee Coordinates all 5th grade fundraisers and activities Room Parent Coordinator Coordinates and communicates ideas and events to room parents Running Club Coordinates Running Club Field Day Coordinator Coordinators field day Spirit Wear Sells and orders school spirit wear throughout the year Marquee Updates the school Marquee weekly or bi-weekly
