Hillsdale Music Department Parent Assc.

The Hillsdale Music Dept. Parent Association (HMDPA) is a nonprofit, public benefit 501(c)(3) corporation; Tax ID number 86-1169465. The Parent Association has been given the task of supporting 270 students with their musical endeavors. The size and magnitude of this department and the enriching curriculum means it can't happen without funding, chaperones, and organization. The parents are vital part of the success of the Hillsdale Music Department

They.....
- Maintain 270 Accounts
- Provide fundraisers
- Help Host many festivals including: Show Choir Competition, Honor Band, etc.
- Chaperone: Concerts, Assemblies, Disneyland etc.
- Create an Atmosphere of positive enrichment "We include everyone"
- Purchase instruments as needed by the music dept. especially for students who can not
afford them.
- Provide a direct line of communication from Mr. Caldwell to the parents.
- To ensure safe and secure trips.
- Meet monthly to discuss and organize the above.

What can you do?
- Come to meetings, Volunteer, get involved.
- Stay informed (use all methods in 1st assignment)
-Sign-up for escrip, turn in: Cell phones, Boxtops, iPods. laptops, Cambells soup labels, etc.

Introductory to Music Meeting on August 26th. Room 101. 6:30pm

All HMDPA meetings are third Thursday of the Month 6:30pm in room 101. Next official meeting is September 16th, 6:30PM in Music Room 101.
