A great big welcome from Mrs. Cleveland. I are so excited about my year with you. This year will be a great success for all of us because we work as a TEAM.
In my room, respect is the word of choice. I respect you and all your hard work and in return, I hope for your respect toward all students and teachers you work with. Also, respect for all property, whether it belongs to you or someone else, is vital. This is key to a successful room. I want you to always feel comfortable in our classes. So I encourage your opinion and ideas. Most student’s are enrolled with me for Math / Science in room 102 and English/ History with Ms. Haines, room 908
Wish list for a successful year 1 three ring binder 7 subject tabs/dividers Notebook paper, college lined (refill often) 1 compostition notebook ( for English ) 5 sharpened pencils (Not mechanical) 1 self contained pencil sharpener 1 dry erase pen 1 blue pen 1 red pen 1 highlighter (Yellow , if possible) 1 set of colored pencils 1 student planner ( purchase at Hillsdale PE department) 1 plastic pencil pouch 1 eraser 1 glue stick 1 ruler
(Parents: PLEASE help check student supplies often for an easier flow in class. Also, any parents with difficulties getting supplies, please contact us for help.) Homework is assigned on week nights. KEEPING THE PLANNER CURRENT IS ESSENTIAL. Please check your child's planner daily for specific assignments in each subject area. Homework is due on time. There will be no late work accepted. This does not apply to late work due to absence. Ms. Haines and I will be providing you with more specific information during “Back To School Night" September 8. Please mark your calendars . You will learn about what is being covered in each of the subject areas, special events, and our grading policy. I look forward to meeting you. It is so important for us to work together to ensure your student’s success. Thanks for all your help and support. Sincerely, Mrs. Cleveland
